Vecova Centre for Disability Services and Research (Vecova) is a leading-edge, registered non-profit charitable research and service agency that has been meeting the needs of persons with disabilities and the community-at-large since 1969. Affiliated with the University of Calgary, Vecova is recognized as a leader in the field of disability services and research.
Vecova has provided Medication Administration training for more than 20 years. In recent years there has been a transition to community based support of individuals with more complex care needs. Vecova has responded to the increasing demand for quality, affordable and accessible Medication Administration training that builds the capacity of support workers to safely and confidently administer medications.
The Medication Administration Course has been developed by Registered Nurses and meets the standards for the Canadian Accreditation Council and Creating Excellence Together, which is the accreditation program for the Alberta Council of Disability Services.
