FAQ’S FOR ONLINE & CLASSROOM COURSES
ONLINE FAQ'S:
1.) Q: How long is my registration active?
A: Your registration is active for 3 months.
If you have not completed the full course you will need to register again.
You will need to start from the beginning!
2.) Q: How long should it take to complete the course?
A: A minimum of 5.5 hours (not including the brief tutorial).
The 4 modules of the course will require a minimum of 4 hours to complete.
You are allotted a maximum of 120 minutes to complete the final test.
You can complete the course at one sitting or break up your studies into manageable blocks of time. You will resume where you left off.
Allow yourself time to focus on your work without distractions.
You may take more time if you choose to make notes or review slides.
Most learners take time to study before the final test.
The amount of time it takes to complete the course may vary depending on your personal learning style, comfort with English, learning disabilities, etc.
3.) Q: What if I am having trouble understanding Medication Administration course content?
A: Use the “Ask an RN” feature to send a message.
Messages are monitored during regular business hours Monday to Friday.
A qualified Registered Nurse Instructor will respond to your questions regarding course content.

4.) Q: Do I get a certificate for completing the course?
A: Yes, a certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.
A minimum passing grade of 80% is required.
Follow the instructions to print your certificate, or you can access your account at any time, under My Transcripts, to print a copy for 3 years after you complete the course.
5.) Q: Does the Medication Administration Course certificate expire?
A: Yes, the certificate expires in 3 years.
The course needs to be repeated in 3 years to obtain a new certificate.
6.) Q: What happens if I do not achieve a passing grade on the final test?
A: You have 2 attempts to complete the final test.
Do not be discouraged! This is a challenging course. Some learners may need to review the course content to prepare for another attempt at the final test. If you are not successful at achieving at least 80% after 2 attempts you will need to register again and complete the full course.
If you were registered by an agency, ask them to register you again.

Please do not phone the nurse – all communication regarding the medication course must be sent by email.
7.) Q: I failed a quiz at the end of a module. What do I do?
A: They do not count or prevent you from continuing.
Only the final test counts.
If you failed a module, this is a sign that you should review the material again before the final test.
8.) Q: I can’t move to the next slide.
A: Ask yourself: “Is this an interactive slide that requires me to click on the screen or answer a question?
The ‘next’ message will not come up until you have completed the whole slide.
CLASSROOM FAQ'S:
*Note - Classroom training is temporaily unavailable at Vecova due to social distancing measures that have been put in place in order to keep our learners safe. We offer an online Medication Administration training in lieu of the classroom option.
1.) Q: Where and when is the class? Classroom training is currently unavailable
A: Once registration is completed, details will be confirmed by email from Vecova.
2.) Q: How do I prepare for the class?
A: Once you are registered you can access the link to the Vecova Learning site. Using your username and password you will have access to the Study Guide and the Medication Administration Manual. Review the Manual and complete the Study Guide to prepare for the course.
Plan at least 4 to 5 hours to complete the study guide
Pay particular attention to abbreviations

3.) Q: Is there an examination?
A: Yes. There is a closed book test at the start of Day 2.
You will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the test
If you require support due to learning disabilities or literacy challenges you must arrange for this before the course.
4.) Q: Do I get a certificate for completing the course?
A: Yes, a certificate is issued upon successful completion of the course.
A minimum passing grade of 80% is required.
The certificate will be uploaded to your account within two business days of course completion.
5.) Q: Does the Medication Administration Course certificate expire?
A: Yes, the certificate expires in 3 years.
The course needs to be repeated in 3 years to obtain a new certificate.
6.) Q: What happens if I do not achieve a passing grade on the post-test?
A: You will be required to re-register, repeat Day 1 of the course and write the test again.
Do not be discouraged! This is a challenging course. Some learners may need to go through the course again to ensure they understand the information well so they can administer medications safely in their work place. Most learners achieve success when they repeat the course.
The course instructor will explain the re-registration process to you after the class.
